But at the same time it will retain its performance
Taiwanese company TSMC, supplier of processors to Apple, today began mass production of chips using new 3nm technology. This will likely be the A17 processor on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Ultra.
These 3nm chips will consume 30-35% less power at the same speed. In addition, more transistors can be placed on such processors, which should theoretically make them more productive.
However, experts also made interesting conclusions. According to them, TSMC emphasizes energy efficiency more than performance. This could mean that the A17 chip will only give the iPhone 15 longer battery life.
