In the last two weeks, there has been a wave of complaints about problems in iOS 16. It is especially strongly visible on social networks. This is a serious battery drain issue with older generation iPhones.

Owners of 11th, 12th and 13th series devices report a significant drop in battery life
Many of them were very disappointed because after the update it dropped by 20%.

@Teachrrcoach tweeted that he bought the Pro Max specifically for the long battery life. There is no mention of it after the update to iOS 16. @DeclanFOM says that before the update he didn’t charge his phone every day, and now he can’t even get one full.

More interestingly, iOS 16 has already received two updates, but there is no sign of a solution to this problem
Quite a few bug fixes and updates have been released on the iPhone 14. It’s likely that the company has focused on fixing the situation for its brand new devices.

Reddit user Comfortable-Key-71 isn’t happy about that fact. He has an iPhone 13 Pro Max that has lasted 11-12 hours in usage mode. It currently can’t get more than 7 hours on a single charge. And also, when making video calls, it experiences serious performance issues. He notes that with other updates, solutions to similar problems came within 2-3 days. Now it has been waiting for a week and there is no solution. He is considering going back to iOS version 15.7.

Apple has not yet announced that they are aware of the problem and its origin. Nor that they are working on its removal. They are usually quite transparent about this. Let’s hope that this problem will soon be a thing of the past.
