Apple is bringing this useful option back in iOS 16
A long-awaited and desired functionality seems to be returning to iPhone smartphones with the upcoming iOS 16. It is the ability to display the battery percentage, which was removed with the iPhone X due to the limited space around the notch.
Now the indicator is in the battery icon, which 7 saving space. The new functionality appeared in the just-released 5th beta version of iOS 16. Of course, there is still some chance that the option will not be added to the final version, but this is unlikely.
For now, it is not available for all iOS 16 devices, and is limited to larger and newer models. For example, it does not reach the mini versions and the iPhone 11 series. iOS 16 should debut in September, and then we will learn everything about it.
